Tennis legend Björn Borg has spoken in an emotional interview with the British show BBC Breakfast about his prostate cancer diagnosis. The eleven-time Grand Slam winner revealed that the news from his doctor was anything but positive: "The doctor told me it looks very, very bad," Borg explained. "I have dormant cancer cells in my body, and it will be a battle in the future."
Borg must undergo an examination every six months to monitor the progress of the disease. The last check-up took place just two weeks ago. "I have to live with this," said the former tennis star. Although he is currently in remission, he admitted that the diagnosis was a major psychological challenge for him. Borg revealed his health situation in his autobiography Heartbeats, which was released on September 19, 2025. In it, he not only talks about his illness, but also about the operation he underwent last year. "I take life day by day, year by year," Borg continued.
