Money Sent with the Codename "German Winter Relief"

According to research by the "Bild" newspaper, this money was then used for the "German Winter Relief". This secret fund is said to have been personally managed by bank president Ludwig Freude, a German-Argentine businessman and staunch National Socialist. However, not all the money flowed to the Hitler party. A large part of the wealth went to an account at the Swiss Credit Institution (SKA). This institution later became Credit Suisse in 1997. So far, Credit Suisse has refused to provide information about the whereabouts of the money, as lawyers from the Wiesenthal Foundation report. To access information, they need a court order. Hence, lawyers from Washington, Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Zurich are now trying to obtain such an order. "If the account was opened in the name of a company and not in the name of Ludwig Freude, it's almost impossible to identify the account," the lawyers are sure.
