Even though the start of 2026 is still a few weeks away, the forecasts for the new year are already anything but reassuring - at least if you believe in the mystical predictions of Nostradamus. Here are the grim predictions:

Nostradamus' Prophecies Remain Relevant Even After Centuries

Prophetic writings dealing with future events are especially sought after - including the predictions of Nostradamus. Since he wrote down his prophecies in the 16th century, Michel de Nostredame, better known as Nostradamus, has continued to fascinate. The doctor and apothecary, who also studied astrology during his lifetime, is said to have predicted many historical events in vague metaphors, such as the Nazi regime, the moon landing, the September 11 terrorist attacks, and even the Corona pandemic. A group of Nostradamus followers has now analyzed his preserved writings with a view to the coming year, finding alarming predictions that could threaten humanity after the turn of the year. Although Nostradamus' texts are often vaguely formulated and therefore allow for various interpretations, disturbing prophecies appear upon reading, which promise nothing good.

Grim Forecasts for 2026: Destructive Natural Disasters and Wars

In his cryptic prophecies, he speaks among other things of devastating natural disasters that are supposed to affect people's lives even in 2025. Nostradamus formulated, for example, “The dry earth will wither even more, and there will be great floods when you see them.” However, flood disasters are not the only calamity that humanity should prepare for. According to various interpretations, devastating wars and political conflicts also threaten in 2025. The mystical scriptures even warn of a war in Europe.
