The victims are 54-year-old entrepreneur Ilyas Gimadutdinov and his 39-year-old companion. Gimadutdinov was a influential businessman in the region. He was the founder and director of the transport company Tattatranskom, which specializes in oil and gas logistics, and generated around two billion rubles in revenue in 2024. Particularly controversial: According to the Ural Traffic Prosecutor's Office, the flight was not approved. Why the helicopter was flying so low over an active winter sports area is currently unclear.
