Why the Emergency Call Center Became a Conversation Partner

Since May 2025, the elderly woman has repeatedly dialed the emergency number, the police reported. Apparently, she was simply looking for someone to talk to; the command center was available around the clock and answered her calls. The unusual reason for the frequent calls make the case particularly bizarre.

Police Won't Be Taken for a Ride

After more than 300 unjustified emergency calls, a patrol came by on Wednesday. The officers thoroughly explained "the purpose of the emergency call" to the woman and pointed out "the consequences of further misuse". The visit was intended to make clear that the 110 is intended for real emergencies.
